The Japanese Northern Alps range is often called "the roof of Japan,” at an elevation of 1220m, “Yazawa water source” is one of the fine water sources in Japan. This is where the raw water of Shinano Yusui originates.
The water source is as deep in the mountains as needing climbing equipment to reach such terrain. Our deep desire to provide the water to our customers led us to set up a pipeline connecting the water source to the factory we built near the source. Nothing surrounds the factory, which is essential, for it means there is nothing to contaminate the environment.
◀ Downstream of the factory is an area famous for its numerous “wasabi (Japanese horseradish)” fields.
Wasabi only grows well with abundant pure and clear water, and Shinano Yusui's raw water source is located upstream of the wasabi fields. Shinano Yusui is produced at Omachi factory in Nagano prefecture benefitted from the blessings of nature.
The Entrance to Tateyama Kurobe Alpen Route - Omachi

The Japanese serow and grouse, selected as special national natural treasures inhabit in this region and can sometimes be seen near Omachi factory. We will continue to protect this fabulous environment while providing Shinano Yusui to our customers.
